We are called to be wise and good stewards of our money because, when we are, we can glorify God through our good works. Isn’t this exactly what Luke 14:28 talks about? We must sit down and calculate the cost BEFORE we spend the money. In other words, we may think that we need new clothes and we may think that we have the room in our budget for it, but without actually sitting down and counting the cost before we go shopping, guess what? We don’t know if we have the money to actually go shopping with. It is a practical prayer for God’s provision through Jesus’ promise: “Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things” (Matthew 6:32), because God does indeed know what we need, but without a budget we don’t know, and thus we allow the world to tell us what we need. Tithing: Providing For The Church’s NeedsĪ budget is a focus of trust and confidence in God when times are both plentiful and hard. When we don’t budget, we have no idea how much money we have or don’t have. Because usually, when we stumble with our money, it is because we’ve failed to manage the budget properly (or if we’re being really honest, failed to actually create the budget in the first place). I’ve failed more times than I can count with money but the only way that I’ve been able to get our finances back in order is to go back and rework the budget. And, I wish I could tell you that I’ve always managed a budget and done everything I was supposed to do with money, but the cold hard truth is that I haven’t. Once you've located the correct one, move the document into your Documents folder, or wherever you normally store your MoneyWell documents.Growing up, my mom taught my brother and I the importance of managing our money well and how important it was for us to give of our time, talents, and treasures. If the file isn't the right one (too old, too new etc.) you may need to repeat the process a few times to locate the correct one. (Open MoneyWell while holding shift (⇧) to prevent it opening any previous document, then go to File -> Open and find your newly restored document.

You will see a folder full of strangely named files:.From the Library folder, you need to navigate as follows: Containers -> -3 -> Data -> Library -> Application Support -> MoneyWell -> Backups.This will add an additional "Library" menu choice - select that.
While the menu is open press and hold the Alt (⌥) key.With that said, if you do want to attempt to recover a backup which MoneyWell has made, you can follow these instructions: Ideally you should have a backup on an external drive incase the drive in your machine fails, as well as a remote backup, preferably out of your house, to guard against the loss of your data due to theft, fire or some other disaster. MoneyWell 3 maintains up to 3 months of backups of your accounts documents, but this is not a substitute for your own backup system. Backing up your accounts file is very important.
